India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki will be launching the New S-Cross facelift in India on 28 September 2017. The 2017 model will be limited to 1.3-litre diesel engine as the older 1.6-litre diesel engine variant failed to public sufficient interest. The new S-Cross will have also receive fresh cosmetic and feature upgrades as compared to the old model.

1.3-litre diesel engine will get the SHVS mild-hybrid system this time that generates 89bhp of power and 200Nm of torque under the hood. It is to be seen if Maruti Suzuki will introduced an AMT option along with the standard five-speed manual transmission. In terms of safety, it is very serious in relates to safety with dual front airbags and ABS with EBD.

The interior is also expected to receive fresh cosmetic changes in the form of better quality with contrast stitching and color combinations and etc. On the pricing aspect, the new S-Cross might be expensive by about Rs 25,000 over the Old Scross model pricing. The hike will have to primarily be due to the government’s decision of withdrawing hybrid incentive which was earlier offered to car manufacturers.

The new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross will giving the sportier new look with new chrome grille with new vertical slats, along with a new heavily redesigned bumper which also gets a radiator grille. The rear section also gets with new look LED tail lamps. The LED projector lens headlamps with black inserts will be limited to top-spec Alpha variant. Based on the variant opted for, one can expect features like parking camera, Maruti’s SmartPlay infotainment system, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, auto climate control and cruise control etc

Maruti S-Cross price in New Delhi start at Rs. 8.49 Lakh. The lowest price model is Maruti SX4 S Cross Sigma DDiS 200 SH and the most priced model of Maruti SX4 S Cross Alpha DDiS 200 SH priced at Rs. 11.29 Lakh.
